Negus Brewing Company was born from a deep passion for the art of craft brewing and a love for the rich cultural heritage of Africa. The term "Negus, " meaning "king" or "leader" in Ethiopian, embodies our core values of leadership, innovation, and community. Our flagship offering, the Addis Teff Amber Ale, is a modern interpretation of the traditional Ethiopian beer known as Tella, Farso, or Suwa. Crafted using time-honored techniques and the unique Ethiopian grain Teff, our ale boasts a distinctive nutty and slightly sweet flavor profile. For those seeking the authentic taste of Ethiopian heritage, our Mama's Honey Tej is a must-try. This traditional honey wine, made with raw honey and wild yeast, is balanced with the invigorating aroma and slight bitterness of Gesho, a native African plant with a flavor profile akin to hops. We also offer our smooth, balanced, and ever-refreshing Premium Craft Lager, perfect for everyday enjoyment and a refreshing break.
