Services

We offer a range of services across three key divisions: Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Structural Engineering.

Geotechnical Engineering

CalWest Geotechnical, a separate division of LC Engineering Group, Inc., provides geotechnical services from project inception to completion. Our team of experts utilizes a fully licensed soils analysis laboratory, equipped with state-of-the-art testing equipment and computers, to perform geotechnical engineering analysis and design. Our services include preliminary geotechnical investigations, slope stability analysis, landslide remediation, liquefaction analysis, and seismic analysis. We also provide geotechnical site observations and deputy grading inspections during grading and construction, ensuring that all geotechnical aspects of the project are in general compliance with the geotechnical approvals and regulatory agencies.

Civil Engineering

Our civil engineering department provides services ranging from single-family residences to complex hillside projects, commercial centers, municipal, and infrastructure projects. We work in concert with the architect, client, and other project consultants to provide plans for all facets of civil engineering design. Our services include tract/parcel maps, lot line adjustments, private and public works improvement plans, grading and drainage plans, erosion control plans, SQUIMP/SUSMP/LID/MS4, SWPPP, state NOI submittals, QSP services, and complex hydrology/hydraulic analysis.

Structural Engineering

Our structural engineering department is skilled in handling all types of projects, including single-family residential, multifamily, commercial, and industrial buildings, as well as site structures such as swimming pools, sports courts, structural decks, and cantilevered driveways. Our team of experts utilizes state-of-the-art design software and techniques to provide effective and practical structural solutions for our clients. We specialize in complex hillside projects, including hillside retention and stabilization systems using tiebacks, soil nails, and similar systems.

Personnel

At LC Engineering Group, Inc., we pride ourselves on being a highly skilled team of experts. Our personnel include geotechnical engineers, structural engineers, civil engineers, surveyors, and CAD designers, all supported by an administrative team. We take pride in providing personalized service and attention to detail to every project we undertake.

Some of our key personnel include Lennie Liston, who has over 25 years of experience in real estate and engineering, and is a licensed civil engineer, attorney, and general building contractor in California. Britten Pond, a registered civil engineer in California and Montana, has over 20 years of experience in the structural engineering field. Eli Katibah, a licensed deputy grading inspector for the City of Los Angeles and a licensed soils special inspector, has over 30 years of experience in geotechnical engineering. Greg Kelly, a civil engineer with over 20 years of experience, has worked in both the public and private sectors.
