Serving Sweetness Since 1960
Ken's Bakery: A Legacy of Serving Sweetness Since 1960
Founded by Ken Daniels in 1960, Ken's Bakery is a family-owned business with roots dating back over a century. The story began with Ken's father, Lorin ("Dan") Daniels, who sold his baked goods on street cars in Kansas City around 1910. Dan's specialty was "butter rolls, " which he arranged to deliver to local restaurants. The popularity of his pastries led him to buy a truck to accommodate increasing demand, and he eventually received recognition as the best baker in Kansas City. In 1929, Dan moved to Oklahoma City, where he opened Daniels Pastries in downtown Oklahoma City.
After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, Ken Daniels worked briefly with his dad and brother before establishing Ken's Bakery in 1960. Initially specializing in pies and sweet rolls, the bakery evolved to produce frozen products in response to growing customer demand. Today, Ken's Bakery is a leading wholesale manufacturer of frozen bakery products, primarily serving food distributors. Our offerings are found in restaurants, casinos, in-store bakeries, and schools across multiple states. We take pride in our co-packing services and our ability to meet unique customer requests.
