At OKC Psychiatry, we believe that psychiatry is not just about treating mental "illness, " but about enhancing the overall well-being of our patients. Our philosophy is rooted in a psychodynamic approach, which allows us to explore the complex relationships between our patients' past experiences, current situations, and patterns within their relationships. We take into account the unconscious processes that influence an individual's behavior and emotions, and we utilize the therapeutic relationship between the psychiatrist and patient to examine the factors that contribute to each patient's unique life experience.

Our Team

Our team of psychiatrists is dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to our patients. Dr. Lauren H. Schwartz, MD, is board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She has extensive training in psychoanalytic theory and has published several articles on the subjects of depression and anxiety in patients with chronic blood disorders. Dr. Schwartz is passionate about providing psychiatric care to individuals with chronic illnesses and is an active member of several professional organizations.

Dr. Arthur W. Rousseau, MD, is also board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He has over 30 years of experience in the private practice of psychiatry and has held various leadership positions in professional organizations.
