Founded in 1960 by Marietta native Iris Hensley, we are a non-profit organization that continues to grow and evolve to meet the needs of our community.

The Georgia Ballet Professional Company

Our resident professional company is composed of talented dancers from diverse backgrounds, both nationally and internationally. Our repertoire includes a wide range of classical and contemporary works, from masterpieces by George Balanchine and Marius Petipa to innovative new choreography. Our performances offer audiences of all ages an unforgettable experience of exceptional quality.

The School of The Georgia Ballet

The School of The Georgia Ballet focuses primarily on classical ballet but also offers classes in tap, modern dance, jazz, and hip hop. We cater to both recreational dancers and those who aspire to make ballet a career. Our school also has a thriving adult program, providing a fun and relaxed environment for adults to enjoy dance classes.

Arts in Education

Our Arts in Education community outreach programs aim to introduce school children to the beauty and athleticism of dance. This includes three main areas of focus: subsidized field trips to our professional performances, Momentum, a publicly-funded program offering free dance instruction in Title 1 schools, and DanceAbility, a renowned program providing free dance classes to children with special needs.

We are committed to building strong relationships with our community through various initiatives. We partner with local businesses, schools, and organizations to promote the arts and provide opportunities for people of all ages to engage with dance. Our History
