DTW Driving School

At DTW Driving School, we are committed to providing high-quality driver education and improvement courses to help students become safer drivers and save lives. Our mission is to comply with the requirements of the Virginia DMV and the courts, while also supporting low-income individuals in restoring their driving privileges.

Our History

DTW Driving School is the only driving school in Virginia supported by an organization, Drive-To-Work (DTW). Since 2007, Drive-To-Work has helped over 2,400 individuals and their families overcome the license suspension barrier. Our organization is dedicated to assisting low-income or previously incarcerated individuals in obtaining and maintaining their driving privileges, so they can drive to work and keep a job.

Our Courses

We offer a range of courses designed to meet the needs of our students. Our Driver Improvement Clinic is available online or in the classroom, and satisfies court or DMV requirements. Our 3 Times Fail Class is designed for those who have failed the DMV written test three times, and is available online or in the classroom. We also offer a Driver Education Course online, which satisfies the DMV driver education course requirement.

Our curriculum is developed and tested by Traffic Safety Consultants, Inc., an industry leader in innovative traffic safety education, technology, and curriculum development. Our courses are designed to be convenient, simple, and easy to understand, with personalized attention and great instruction.
