Our Mission and Vision

At The Recovery Center, our mission is to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of alcohol, drug addiction, and mental health prevention, intervention, and treatment services. We strive to promote the health and safety of the residents of Fairfield County. Our vision is to continue providing efficient and effective opportunities for healing, growth, and change in a professional and compassionate manner.

History and Services

The Recovery Center originated as a small alcoholism program in the Fairfield County Health Department in 1973. Over the years, we have expanded our services to include a full spectrum of outpatient alcohol, drug addiction, and mental health prevention, intervention, and treatment programs for children, adolescents, and adults. Our services are defined in accordance with the Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services and the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. We work collaboratively with area physicians and hospitals, social and human service providers, law enforcement and criminal justice systems, city and county school districts, and other professional organizations to ensure the availability of a full continuum of services and effective community supports.

Client-Centered Approach

The Recovery Center is a client-centered agency, assessing the needs of each person and meeting those needs by coordinating services with other agencies. Clinical services are based on a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment and appropriate placement using acceptable clinical protocols for levels of care. Our staff work with each client to develop an individualized treatment plan that includes goals and objectives specific to the person's unique challenges. Clinical need is continually assessed throughout treatment, and the client remains involved in the treatment planning process.

Accreditation and Funding

The Recovery Center is an independent contract agency of the Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health (ADAMH) Board of Fairfield County and is also funded by United Way of Fairfield County and the Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services (Ohio MHAS). We are Accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International.
