Our Legacy of Service Excellence

Founded by W.W. Ecton as Ecton Movers in Winchester, Saunier Moving and Storage has been providing moving solutions for over a century. In 1948, W.W. Ecton's grandson, Walter G. Ecton, took the reins of the family business and became an agent for North American Van Lines, propelling the company to greater heights. Ed Saunier, who had joined the family through marriage, purchased ownership from Walter Ecton in 1985, marking the fourth generation to carry forward the tradition of excellence.

Our Expansion and Growth

The following year, Ed Saunier purchased the Lexington North American Van Lines agency, merged Ecton Movers, and changed the name to Saunier Moving & Storage. Over the years, we have continued to expand our footprint, opening an agency in Louisville in 2001. Today, we serve every county in Kentucky east of I-65 and also Southern Indiana and Ohio, Northeast Tennessee, Western West Virginia, and Western Virginia.
