Schlitzberger Stone Designs is a family owned business providing solid surface countertops, monuments, and engravings to the Greater Houston Area. Our company has a rich history dating back to 1922 when David's grandfather, John, distinguished the Schlitzberger name as one of the leading cemetery memorial makers in Houston. David, the owner and founder of SSD, is a third-generation stone craftsman. He founded Schlitzberger Stone Designs in 1997, specializing not only in memorials but also in stone signage and countertops. Today, our company produces premium surfaces from natural stone, quartz, terrazzo, and porcelain. We have expanded our services to include custom-carved marble statuary, photoetched portraits on black granite, and engraved inscriptions in various writing systems. Our services are available to both individuals and commercial projects, making us a unique provider in the industry.
