Our Story

Melanie D. Krummel, GG, FGA, CSM, founded Jewelry Appraisals, Inc., after a passion for jewelry and gemology led her to change her career path. She earned her Graduate Gemology degree from the Gemological Institute of America, and since then, she has been providing independent jewelry appraisals for over 25 years.

Melanie D. Krummel, GG, FGA, CSM, is a highly respected professional in the field of gemology. She has earned certifications from the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers, the Accredited Gemological Association, and the Gemmological Association of Great Britain. With over 25 years of experience, Melanie has developed a deep understanding of gemstones, diamonds, watches, pearls, and antique and period jewelry.

Melanie's extensive education and training have equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the complex world of gemology. She has completed the Graduate Gemologist Resident Program at the Gemological Institute of America and has earned certifications from the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers, the Accredited Gemological Association, and the Gemmological Association of Great Britain.
