Upselling and Billing Issues
The salon has been accused of trying to upsell customers on additional services, and there have been issues with billing. One customer was charged $5 for a single nail repair without being informed of the cost beforehand, and another customer was told they had to spend at least $10 to use a credit card. Another customer was surprised to find that the price of a Gail pedicure was the same as the SNS manicure.
Poor Quality and Unprofessionalism
Several customers have reported poor quality work, including nails being done "horribly" and carelessly, with one customer stating they could have done better themselves. There have been issues with shaping and polishing, and some customers have reported being left with broken or lumpy nails. Additionally, some customers have experienced unprofessional behavior from the nail technicians, including being talked about in Vietnamese, being touched aggressively, and being pressured for tips.
Positive Experiences
On the other hand, some customers have had positive experiences at the salon, with one customer stating that Katie is great and that they would drive 20 minutes to see her. Another customer loves the SNS at Acqua Nails by Amy and looks forward to getting their nails done every week.
