Laguna Food Pantry

The Laguna Food Pantry is a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating food insecurity in our community. Established on the belief that no one should go hungry, we provide free, fresh, and nutritious groceries to anyone in need, no appointment or proof of need required. Serving over 1,000 families a week, we are committed to alleviating hunger and improving the lives of those we serve.

Our Mission

Our mission is to collect and distribute free, fresh, and nutritious groceries to individuals and families facing food insecurity. We are open five days a week and welcome everyone to our pantry. With a deep respect for people's privacy and dignity, we strive to create a friendly and supportive environment for all shoppers and volunteers.

Our Services

The Laguna Food Pantry offers a wide variety of services to help combat food insecurity in our community. Our primary service is the distribution of free, fresh, and nutritious groceries. These groceries include meat, dairy, eggs, fresh produce, and shelf-stable items. We also offer vegetarian groceries upon request. Our facility on Laguna Canyon Road serves about 250 families per day, giving away approximately 100,000 pounds of groceries every week.

As an agent of Second Harvest Food Bank, we rescue groceries from local markets that would otherwise end up in a landfill. Our inventory also includes food purchased from wholesale grocers, donations from regional food banks, local markets, and private donors. We operate as an almost completely volunteer-run enterprise, with over 160 volunteers making our operations possible.

Service

In all our actions, we endeavor to serve one another and our community. Our volunteers work hard to create enjoyable and helpful experiences for shoppers. We operate a drive-through distribution program, making it easy and convenient for families to receive the groceries they need. Our volunteers pack groceries and provide curbside service, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
