Southwest Land Consulting, P.C. is an SBE Certified firm that offers a comprehensive range of engineering services, specializing in custom single-family residences, small to medium commercial and residential developments, water and sewer main extensions, water booster pump design, preliminary site planning, due diligence studies, hydrologic / hydraulic analyses, roadway design and construction staking. Established in 2005, Southwest Land Consulting, P.C. is a locally owned and operated Arizona Professional Corporation, dedicated to providing hands-on engineering and planning services with a focus on unique or alternative solutions. Our company caters to small developers and individual owners who often require personalized attention that larger firms are unable to provide due to high overhead costs. Our small team ensures that all employees are familiar with each project, eliminating the disconnect between management and design staff prevalent in corporate offices.

Meet Our Principal

Scott Lorentzen, P.E., Principal of Southwest Land Consulting, P.C., began his engineering career locally in 1997 after attending Arizona State University. Unlike many of his peers, Scott started working in the field as a survey crew instrument man, assisting in the preparation of topographic/boundary surveys and construction staking layout for projects throughout the Phoenix Metro area. His hands-on experience, coupled with a heavy equipment operator background in Alaska, has given him a unique edge over the competition. Over an 8-year period, Scott worked for several small to large firms, acquiring licensure as a registered professional civil engineer in January 2002. In March 2005, Scott founded Southwest Land Consulting, P.C., where he utilizes his extensive knowledge of the latest AutoCAD Civil 3D and drainage software in all facets of the business, from conceptual planning and final design to construction document drafting.
