Our team consists of several members who were part of RainWise, Inc., a renowned weather station company with a rich history of 47 years. During our time at RainWise, we successfully developed PVmet, a highly successful line of weather stations for the commercial and industrial solar PV market. With over 9,500 installations worldwide, we have proven our capabilities in this industry.

Our team is led by an engineer who authored the first edition of the SunSpec standard for weather stations and is the co-inventor of the patented SiteSage technology. With our extensive experience and access to key vendors in the PV industry, including EKO Instruments, Campbell Scientific, Hukseflux, Kipp & Zonen, RainWise, RM Young, and Atonometrics, we can tailor our MET systems to meet any specification or budget. We also offer installation and commissioning services, as well as ongoing maintenance and operation services for our MET stations.

Services Offered

At PowerWise, we specialize in providing a variety of services designed to meet the needs of our clients in the solar PV industry. Our main services include:

1. Solar MET Utility PV: We offer fully customizable SCADA MET stations designed for utility PV plants. These modular weather stations integrate with multiple SCADA applications and hardware platforms.

2. Solar Resource Assessment: Our team provides accurate measurements of available energy from the sun for future utility PV installations. This solution includes pyranometers, MET station, data logger, battery backup, and cell modem. We offer full installation and commissioning services, including concrete foundations and chain-link fence, as well as on-site operation and maintenance services for installed MET stations.

3. Commercial and Industrial C&I Solar PV: We enhance rooftop and canopy solar installations with weather data and PV panel conditions. Our range of services includes seven different PVmet weather stations to suit any budget or requirements for C&I solar PV.

4. MET Stations for Large PV: We design and provide MET stations for larger solar PV installations, featuring sensors for irradiance, soiling, temperature, back of module temperatures, wind, rain, and more. We support many standards for PV monitoring, including SunSpec, IEC 61724-1, ISO 9060:2018 Class A, ISO Rule 304.9 Table 1, and ISO 17025 Accredited calibration.

5. Sensor Solutions: Our team offers high-end MET stations, mid-range stations, and all-purpose stations, each equipped with a variety of sensors from leading manufacturers such as EKO, Kipp & Zonen, and Hukseflux.

6. Energy, Gas, and Water Meters: We measure and report on energy use and costs by building and circuit. Our services include metering energy use by tenant with revenue-grade electricity meters and providing powerful energy insights into residential and commercial buildings with whole-house monitoring technology.
