At Ride Music Studio, we're passionate about helping people of all ages learn to play the piano or keyboard. As a piano teacher with over 20 years of experience, I, Maureen Karpan, am dedicated to providing a unique and enjoyable learning experience for every student. Whether you're a beginner or looking to improve your skills, our approach is designed to inspire and empower you to become a confident and expressive pianist.

Our Approach

Our teaching style is revolutionary in that it focuses on playing music rather than theory and notes. By using our method, you'll learn to play the piano or keyboard quickly and efficiently, all while having fun. Our approach is designed to help you develop a deep understanding of music, allowing you to play with both hands and improvise with ease. To do this, we use a combination of the Simply Music Method and Suzuki Method, both of which we've found to be highly effective in helping students unlock their creative potential.

Our Services

What to Expect

When you join us at Ride Music Studio, you can expect a supportive and encouraging environment that fosters creativity and growth. Our students range in age from 5 to 80 years old, and their passions range from classical to jazz to pop. With over 60 students in the San Jose area, we offer a vibrant music community that's perfect for collaborating, sharing tips and tricks, and discussing music.

About Your Instructor

As your instructor, I, Maureen Karpan, am a professionally performing musician with decades of experience playing the accordion and teaching music. I'm dedicated to helping students unlock their innate abilities and leverage their talent from day one. With my guidance, you'll learn to play music that's meaningful and enjoyable to you.

Policies and Tuition

At Ride Music Studio, we believe in making music education accessible to everyone. Our tuition is $2400 per year, billed quarterly ($600 every three months), with a special rate of $900 per semester for homeschoolers. We also offer flexible payment plans and discounts for packages.
