Welcome to Cole Lumber, where our mission is to provide our customers with quality building materials and a knowledgeable sales staff. Since our founding in 1946, we have grown to operate 8 stores across Western and Central Kentucky, as well as one location in Middle Tennessee. Our goal is to create an environment in our stores that is welcoming to both contractors and consumers, regardless of their level of experience or expertise. We understand that not everyone knows everything about the building industry, and we are here to help in any way we can. Whether you're constructing your dream home or working on a small weekend project, Cole Lumber has the knowledge, experience, and materials needed to successfully complete your project.

Our History

Our history began in 1946 when our home office was established in Paducah. Over the years, we have expanded our operations by acquiring new locations. In 1987, we acquired the Marion, KY location and moved it to Eddyville in 2010. We also acquired Princeton, KY in 1987, Lake City and Benton, KY in 1997, Madisonville, KY in 2011, and Murray, KY in 2014. In 2022, we opened our first location in Scottsville, KY, and in 2023, we expanded our presence in Central Kentucky with a new location in Auburn, KY. Our continued growth allows us to better serve our customers in Kentucky and Tennessee.
