Learning Through Play, Together We Grow

For us, childcare is much more than a job - it's an opportunity to change lives. At One Hundred Acre Woods Childcare, we understand how hard it is to be away from your little ones. That's why we're dedicated to providing a nurturing environment where children can grow and learn. Our family-owned center has been serving the community since the early 2000s, and we're proud to have a team of experienced and passionate educators who are committed to their work.

Our Story

We believe that every child is unique and deserves a personalized approach to learning. Our curriculum is customized to fit the needs of each child, from 6 weeks to 12 years old. We understand that all children grow and learn at their own pace, which is why our classrooms are divided based on both age and skill level. Our teachers are trained to encourage social and cognitive development through play-based learning, ensuring that children mature emotionally and gain self-confidence.

Our Team

All of our staff are required to take a minimum of 10 hours of early childhood related training per year. We're all CPR certified, and Mandatory reporters. However, our staff goes above and beyond the training requirements and takes as much training as we can find that relates to the children we serve. We're a family, and we're passionate about the children that we are caring for and the education they receive. For us, this is much more than just a job.

Education

Our Classrooms are designed to inspire curiosity and creativity. We have separate rooms for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children, each with its own curriculum and schedule. We believe that children learn through play, more specifically, through play that uses all 5 of their senses. Our preschool and school age classrooms use "study based" curriculum, where we dive into topics of interest to the children. The 2 and under classrooms choose themes and use the Kaplan Learn Everyday Curriculum.

Enrichment Programs

We believe that learning shouldn't be limited to the classroom. That's why we offer various enrichment programs, including outdoor activities, music, and art. These programs help broaden the children's horizons and encourage them to explore their creativity and imagination.
