Our History

Founded in 1867, Buckingham Slate is still produced at the same location in Arvonia, Virginia, where our 500-acre property in Buckingham County is the only source of genuine Buckingham Slate. Our products have been used in many of the country's top universities, religious structures, and fine homes, and today, we proudly craft Buckingham Slate hardscapes products that are incorporated into landscape designs of distinction throughout the country.
