At Tru-Val Electric, we are proud to have been serving the New York and New Jersey areas for almost 6 decades. Our company has grown to become one of the largest and most successful electrical contractors in the northeast. Since 1997, we have successfully completed over $1 billion in electrical contracting work. Our reputation has been built on maintaining a staff of professionals dedicated to the success of their clients, providing both public and private work.

We operate from two facilities, including a 20,000 square foot warehouse facility in Saddle Brook, New Jersey, and a New York facility located in the Bronx, New York. Our Headquarters is located in Rutherford, New Jersey. Our team consists of over 200 field personnel and an office support team of over 20 professionals, each equipped to handle a variety of installations from large commercial and industrial contracts to smaller light commercial, education facility, and power generation projects.

Our history dates back to 1963 when Michael Totaro Sr. founded the company, specializing in all forms of control wiring. Since then, we have grown significantly, from a $1.5 million backlog in 1995 to over $150 million today. This growth has been achieved through various types of projects, including new construction, fast track, design building, rehab, and high-tech fit-out work, as well as large infrastructure projects for DEP and Sandy recovery projects.
