Materials Accepted
At MEC Recycling, we accept a wide range of materials, including:
- Copper (bright and shiny, #1 wire and tubing, #2 wire and tubing, contaminated copper)
- Brass (yellow brass, red brass, contaminated red or yellow, refinery brass)
- Aluminum (clean MLC, 6063, painted aluminum, irrigation pipe, cast aluminum, heavy contaminated)
- CA Redemption (CRV) aluminum cans, glass, and plastic bottles (we pay $2.00/lb for CRV aluminum cans)
- Insulated wires (#1 icw, #2 icw, Romex, #3 icw, Christmas lights, computer cables, aluminum insulated)
- Radiators (aluminum radiators, auto radiators, aluminum copper radiators, radiator ends)
- Steel (iron, tin, stainless steel)
- Auto & semi-truck wheels (any size aluminum and chrome car, SUV, truck or semi wheels)
- Motors (heavy contaminated, vehicle motors, electric motors, transformers)
Prohibited Items
At MEC Recycling, we do not accept certain items, including:
- Manhole covers, fire hydrants, backflow valves, water meters, gas meters, irrigation pipes, cemetery plaques, road signs, explosives, catalytic converters, guard rails, beer kegs, and much more. Exceptions may be made if these items are legally attained from a company or business.
