Our History
Our story began in 1983 when Leonard J. Dunn, the founder, started Professional Mortuary Services, Inc., serving funeral directors across Louisiana. Over the years, our services expanded to offer affordable funeral options to the New Orleans community. In 1990, we introduced the "Affordable Alternative" concept, which focused on providing low-cost funeral services to underserved communities. Our commitment to this vision led us to establish new locations in St. Bernard Parish and eventually, a small funeral home in Arabi, Louisiana.
In 2008, we opened the doors to Serenity Funeral Home in Covington, Louisiana, bringing the "Affordable Alternative" to the Northshore community. Our mission has always been to provide dignified and respectful funeral services, while also making funeral arrangements more accessible to everyone.
