The Louisiana Agricultural Consultants Association

The Louisiana Agricultural Consultants Association (LACA) is a collective of independent agricultural consulting companies dedicated to providing the best information possible to agricultural producers. Our mission is to assist producers in making informed decisions to ensure a bountiful and profitable crop. We achieve this by offering a range of services including field scouting, continuing education, and research opportunities. Our members specialize in various crops including cotton, soybeans, corn, wheat, grain sorghum, sugarcane, rice, sweet potatoes, turf, vegetables, and ornamentals. Additionally, many of our members engage in independent field research for crop protection product companies.

Services Offered

LACA offers a variety of services designed to support agricultural producers. Our field scouts gather data throughout the growing season and provide recommendations to producers based on the current crop status. We also offer continuing education to our members, ensuring they stay updated on the latest agricultural practices and technologies. Furthermore, our members participate in field research, which helps in the development of new crop protection products.

Membership

Becoming a member of LACA is an excellent way to connect with other agricultural professionals, gain access to the latest information and research, and participate in continuing education opportunities. Our membership application process is open between October 1 and April 30 each year. You can apply for membership using our online application process.
