Playing To Learn Childcare

At Playing to Learn Childcare, we are dedicated to providing high-quality care for children of all abilities in the Solano County community. Our mission is to create positive early learning experiences that provide a solid foundation for an ongoing lifelong love of learning. We use a natural learning approach to identify children's unique abilities and needs, and create a program that motivates them to learn through creativity, social interactions, and developmentally appropriate support.

Our Vision

Our vision is to promote social interaction between children of differing abilities, partner with families and our community to enhance the abilities and skills of the whole child: Social, Physical, Intellectual, Communication, and Emotional development (SPICE). We aim to prepare them for a lifelong love of learning. We believe language and communication are the foundation for all future learning. We understand all children can learn and have unique needs and abilities. We provide natural learning opportunities that are often more easily retained and are retained longer. We recognize that children learn best through active participation.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is centered around the idea that children are most motivated to learn when they are given freedom within limits, able to be creative without fear of judgment, and have an environment with opportunities for natural learning to take place. We draw inspiration from various educational philosophies, including Montessori, Reggio, and Heuristic Play, incorporating elements that we believe are most beneficial for each child's development.

A Message from Our Owner

Hi, my name is Deanna. I have over 20 years in the Child Development Field. I have worked in many capacities from teacher's aid, teacher, lead teacher, and now owner/director. I have always had a heart for children and I get great joy when I see them learn and master skills they have been working on. I am passionate about creating an environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning in every child.
