Home Inspection Services

Our home inspection services cover all the major systems of the property, including the roof, exterior, structural components, electrical system, plumbing system, heating and cooling systems, and insulation. We also offer additional services such as radon testing, water testing, mold and asbestos testing, and septic inspections.

During the inspection, our inspector will move quickly and efficiently to complete their tasks, and the inspection can take anywhere from 2-4 hours, depending on the size of the home. After the inspection is complete, the inspector will provide an onsite summary of potential issues, if any, and will provide a finished report in a pdf format, delivered by email, usually within 24 - 48 hours of the inspection.

Radon Services

Radon is a cancer-causing radioactive gas that you can't see, smell or taste. It may be a problem in your home, and approximately 1 in 3 homes in Maine has radon levels above the state action level. At Inspect Maine, LLC, we use Sun Nuclear Continuous Radon Monitors, which take hourly samples over a 48-hour period and detect movement if anyone tries to disturb the unit during testing. We are committed to helping you keep your home and family safe from the dangers of radon.

Water Testing

Our water testing services include testing for bacteria, lead, nitrates, and other contaminants that can affect the safety and quality of your home's water supply. Our state-certified lab will provide a detailed report of the water analysis interpretation and water treatment referral list, if necessary, to ensure the safety of your drinking water.

Mold and Asbestos Testing

Our team of certified inspectors also offers mold and asbestos testing services. If either of these substances is present in your home, they can pose serious health risks. Our testing services will identify the presence of mold and asbestos, and we'll provide you with a detailed report of our findings, along with recommendations for remediation.

Septic Inspections
