Bootz & Duke Sign Company was founded in 1964 by Charlie Bootz and Jim Duke, two individuals who had honed their skills at Myers Leiber Sign Company. Recognizing an opportunity to build something of their own, they embarked on their entrepreneurial journey, establishing a small sign company specializing in hand lettering and painted signs. This marked the genesis of a legacy built on quality craftsmanship, personalized service, and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.

The ensuing decade witnessed the company's steady growth and transformation into a comprehensive sign company. A New Generation Takes the Helm

In 1975, Bill Gibson, Charlie Bootz's son-in-law, joined Bootz & Duke Sign Company. He quickly demonstrated remarkable aptitude and dedication, progressing from his initial role digging holes to becoming a skilled journeyman installer and ultimately assuming the role of foreman. Bill's natural talent for sales proved invaluable, leading to the acquisition of numerous new clients. In 1976, Jeff Bootz, Charlie Bootz's son, graduated from ASU and joined the family business, ensuring the continuation of the company's legacy for generations to come.
