Thames Valley Music School is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing the highest quality of musical instruction to the residents of Southeastern Connecticut. Located on the campus of Connecticut College in New London, CT, the school has been a staple of the community since 1979.
Our mission is to provide quality music instruction and performance opportunities that will promote a lifelong appreciation of music. We offer individual instruction in piano, stringed and wind instruments, percussion, voice, and music theory, as well as ensembles for all ages and abilities. Our faculty boasts a superb team of professionals, many of whom teach at area colleges and universities and perform with notable ensembles.

Our Services
At Thames Valley Music School, we offer a wide range of services to meet the needs of students of all ages and skill levels. Our individual instruction is tailored to each student's unique needs and goals, and our ensembles provide opportunities for students to collaborate and perform together.
Our programs include:
- Individual lessons in piano, stringed and wind instruments, percussion, voice, and music theory.
- Ensembles for all ages and abilities, including our new Orchestra for advanced students.
- String Ensembles for students of all ages and skill levels.
- Summer Sessions for intensive study and performance opportunities.
- The Thames Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra, which provides advanced students with the opportunity to perform in a full symphony orchestra.
In addition to these programs, we also offer a variety of performance opportunities throughout the year, including recitals, concerts, and workshops.
Our Faculty
Our faculty is made up of a diverse group of professionals who are dedicated to providing the highest quality of musical instruction. Many of our faculty members teach at area colleges and universities and perform with notable ensembles, including the United States Coast Guard Band and the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra.
