At Breathe Together, we believe that yoga is more than just a physical practice, it's a way of living a conscious, healthy, creative, and meaningful life. Our journey began in 2007 when Jennifer Prugh founded our studio, JOY School, with a vision to provide a space where people could deepen their understanding of yoga and its benefits. Since then, we've grown into a community of like-minded individuals who share our passion for yoga, mindfulness, and self-discovery.
Our Story
Our founders, Melissa and Rob, were both deeply affected by their personal experiences with illness and the importance of alternative healing methods. Melissa, a breast cancer survivor, and Rob, a partner and caregiver, found solace in yoga during Melissa's treatment. Rob, who was deeply invested in Melissa's well-being, sought out alternative methods to support her healing process. Jennifer Prugh, a yoga expert and practitioner, became an integral part of their journey. Under her guidance, Melissa found relief and empowerment through yoga. Tragically, Melissa passed away in 2010. Rob continued to practice yoga with Jennifer, finding solace in the practice and seeking to give back to the community through their shared efforts.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive, and transformative environment where individuals can cultivate greater awareness, flexibility, and strength. We believe that yoga is a journey, not a destination, and that it should be accessible to everyone. Our expert instructors, led by Jennifer Prugh, will guide you through various yoga styles, including Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin, and more. We also offer workshops, trainings, and special events that focus on self-care, stress reduction, and personal growth.
Services
At Breathe Together, we offer a wide range of services, including:
- Yoga Classes: We have over 80 classes a week, ranging from beginner to advanced levels. Our classes are designed to cater to different styles, interests, and goals. From dynamic Vinyasa flows to restorative and yin yoga, we have something for everyone.
- Workshops and Trainings: Our workshops and trainings are designed to deepen your understanding of yoga and its applications. From stress reduction to emotional resilience, our events are designed to help you cultivate greater self-awareness and inner peace.
- Mandala Tea House: Our in-house tea house offers handcrafted tea, smoothies, elixirs, and coffee made with the highest quality ingredients. It's a peaceful oasis where you can relax, recharge, and refuel.
- Wellness Resources: We provide a range of wellness resources, including articles, videos, and retreats, to support your overall well-being.
- JOY School: Our integral part of the studio, JOY School, offers comprehensive yoga teacher training programs, including the 100-hour, 200-hour, 300-hour, and 1,000-hour programs.
Certifications
At Breathe Together, we're committed to excellence, authenticity, and transparency. Our instructors are certified through the Yoga Alliance, and our studio is registered with them.
