Our History
In 1999, Calvary Baptist Church began making plans for a quality Christian high school in the Northern Pinellas County area. The church officially voted to start Calvary Christian High School in the fall of 2000. Under the leadership of Thomas J. Cathey, the first full-time administrator, CCHS opened its doors on August 23, 2000, with seven faculty members and 38 ninth and tenth graders. Since then, the school has grown to include grades 9-12, with an enrollment of over 200 students. In 2006, the school moved to a new campus, where it continues to expand its academic offerings.
Accreditation
Calvary Christian High School is fully accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS), the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), a division of Cognia. These accreditations ensure that CCHS meets the highest standards of academic excellence.
