Since 1980, we have built a reputation for excellence, raising field-bred golden retrievers who excel as devoted family members, skilled hunting partners, and competitive athletes in hunt tests and field trials.

Our golden retrievers are not only known for their superior performance but also for their exceptional health, longevity, and striking red coats, characterized by a short, tight texture. We also breed Labrador retrievers, upholding the same rigorous standards of excellence in health, longevity, conformation, and field performance.

Breeding Program

RockErin Kennels follows a selective breeding program, carefully choosing our breeding pairs to ensure the continuation of superior genetics. We prioritize health, temperament, and trainability, understanding that these traits are essential for both companionship and competitive pursuits.

Every puppy from our kennels comes with a comprehensive health guarantee, protecting against hip and elbow growth disorders. We also screen for homozygous genetic defects, including centronuclear myopathy (CNM) and exercise-induced collapse (EIC) in Labrador retrievers, and progressive retinal atrophy in golden retrievers. This commitment to genetic health allows us to confidently offer our puppies as healthy, thriving members of your family.

Training Facilities and Expertise

We are proud to offer state-of-the-art training facilities spread across three complexes, encompassing a total of 700 acres. Each complex is thoughtfully designed to provide a unique combination of land terrains and diverse water features, both technical and non-technical, to cater to the specific needs of each retriever. Over 30 years of experience training and campaigning Labrador, golden, and Chesapeake retrievers for our clients in hunt tests and field trials has solidified our reputation as experts in retriever training.
