Our Story

At Bolus Freight Systems, we've been serving the transportation industry for over 80 years. Founded by Frank Bolus, our company was born out of a dream to provide world-class service to our customers, a better life for our employees, and a commitment to safety. We've come a long way since our humble beginnings, delivering baked goods to local grocery markets in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Company History

Our journey started in the early days of the Great Depression. Frank Bolus, a man with a vision, began delivering baked goods to local markets. As the company grew, Frank's sons expanded our operations geographically and entered the LTL market. We continued to grow, establishing our presence in the northeastern United States. In the 1980s, we made the strategic decision to offer truckload services, leading to significant growth and an expanded geographic footprint.

Over the years, we've added a range of services to our portfolio, including dedicated fleet services, cross-dock warehouse/distribution, drayage, consolidation, and 3PL services. Our customer base comprises some of the largest companies in the world, from CPG and retail to food and manufacturing. We employ state-of-the-art technology to help us, our customers, and our employees succeed.

Our Locations

Our main facility is located in Scranton, Pennsylvania, with additional locations in Syracuse, NY, and Tonawanda, NY. Our strategic locations give us access to one of the finest interstate highway systems in the United States, allowing us to serve a vast geographic area.
