At What About the Pets, we are a full-service pet care company that has been providing top-notch pet sitting and dog walking services in Essex County, New Jersey since 2010. Our experienced, bonded, and insured pet sitters specialize in dog walking, cat sitting, and pet sitting for all breeds and sizes of pets.

Our founder and owner, Christina Caruso, has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Caldwell College and has years of experience caring for her own felines and those of others. She is a member of Pet Sitters International (PSI), insured with Pet Sitters Associates LLC, a Volunteer District Leader and Animal Rescue Team member with The Humane Society of the United States, and certified by the American Red Cross in Pet First Aid.

We understand that pets are more than just animals; they are members of your family. That's why we offer an alternative pet care program so your pets can remain in their own secure place - home! We provide loving, personalized attention while maintaining a balance with your pets' daily routine.

Services Offered

We offer a variety of services to cater to your pet's needs. These include:

• Dog Walking (Mid Day individual dog walks): Our standard dog walk is a 30-minute visit for $25, which includes a walk, feeding, fresh water, mail retrieval, watering plants, alternate lights, taking out trash, enabling/disabling security systems, and administering medication if needed. We also offer a premium hour rate of $28 for early bird (7 am-9 am), after hours (8 pm-10 pm), and rush hour (4 pm-7 pm) services.

• Cat Sitting: Our standard cat sitting visit is a 20-30 minute visit for $25, which includes playtime, feeding, fresh water, scoop litter, mail retrieval, watering plants, alternate lights, taking out trash, enabling/disabling security systems, and administering medication if needed. Additional cats will incur an additional $2 per visit.

• Pet Sitting: Our standard pet sitting visit is a 20-minute visit for $25, which includes feeding, fresh water, mail retrieval, watering plants, alternate lights, taking out trash, enabling/disabling security systems, and administering medication if needed. Additional pets will incur an additional $2 per visit.

• Additional Services/Fees: We offer additional services such as administering medication ($5/day), full litter box change ($10), and key on file (free). We also charge a same-day service request fee of $5, an additional holiday fee of $15, and an additional holiday fee for overnight visits of $25.
