Blue Water Boat Rentals is your one-stop destination for all your watercraft rental needs in South Haven and St. Joseph, Michigan. Established with the goal of providing tourists and locals with an unforgettable experience on Lake Michigan and the Black River, we offer an extensive range of boats and other watercrafts for rent by the hour, day, or week. Our fleet includes pontoon boats, speed boats, dinghy boats, and Jet Skis, all of which are in the water and ready to take out on the lake.

At Blue Water Boat Rentals, we understand that sometimes plans change and our customers may need to make last-minute reservations. That's why we accept same-day reservations and encourage our customers to book in advance to ensure availability of their preferred watercrafts. Our boats are located at a dock, and our knowledgeable staff is always on hand to provide assistance with any questions or concerns customers may have before taking the watercrafts out on the lake.

Our Services

At Blue Water Boat Rentals, we offer a variety of services designed to enhance your Southwest Michigan experience. Whether you're looking to spend a relaxing day on the lake with family and friends, or enjoy a thrilling ride on a speed boat or Jet Ski, we have something for everyone.

Our pontoon boats are perfect for groups of up to 12 people and are equipped with all the necessary safety equipment. They are also ideal for fishing or simply cruising the lake and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Our speed boats offer a more exhilarating experience, with the capability of reaching high speeds on the lake. For those who prefer a more hands-on experience, our Jet Skis are a popular choice.

For customers who prefer to explore the Black River, we offer dinghy boats. These small and nimble boats are perfect for navigating the river and can be used for fishing or simply exploring the area.

At Blue Water Boat Rentals, we also prioritize the safety of our customers. All of our watercrafts are equipped with life jackets and all necessary safety equipment. We reserve the right to cancel any reservation for any reason, if we feel the group will harm our equipment or each other. Rentals will begin at the scheduled time and will not be added to the ending time.

In addition to our watercraft rentals, we are excited to partner with Scooter Joe's Wheel & Water Rentals for beach cruiser bikes, tandems, electric bikes, kayaks, and more. This partnership allows us to provide our customers with even more ways to explore South Haven and St. Joseph and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Booking Information

Reservations are required for all of our watercraft rentals. We begin taking weekend reservations in March for the Summer season. 50% down is required at the time of booking with a signed rental agreement. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to rental. Note that cancelling your rental will result in forfeiture of rental deposit (50% of rental cost). Cancellation on DAY OF results in forfeiture of entire rental cost.

We recommend arriving 30 minutes early for parking, training, and fitting for life jackets. Rental rates do not include fuel or taxes. All of our watercrafts include Life Jackets, and all coast guard required safety items. The latest start time for motorized rental is 2 hours before Sundown. MUST BE 25 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO OPERATE. We do not guarantee a canopy top on any vessel. Weather may cause unsafe boating conditions in which we may have to cancel the reservation.
