Welcome to Moctezuma Stables, a premier equestrian center specializing in American Saddlebred horses and Hackney ponies since 2001. Our state-of-the-art facility, located west of Woodstock, Illinois, offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere for horse owners, students, and their families. Our experienced owner and trainer, Jose "Mayo" Moctezuma, has successfully trained and shown American Saddlebreds for over 25 years, with a proven track record of producing champion horses and riders.

Our Services

At Moctezuma Stables, we offer a wide range of services designed to cater to the needs of horse enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. Our lesson program is tailored to provide a fun, safe, and rewarding experience for riders, with private and small group lessons available. Our experienced instructors will teach you the basics of horsemanship, including horse care, grooming, equipment, and more. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned competitor, our lessons are designed to help you reach your riding goals.

In addition to our lesson program, we also offer training and sales services, with a focus on American Saddlebred horses and Hackney ponies. Our facility features large stalls in two heated barns, two indoor riding arenas, and several outdoor riding areas, providing ample space for horses to grow and thrive.
