Valley Oak School Of Dance

Welcome to Valley Oak School of Dance, nestled in the heart of downtown Oakdale, CA. For over thirty years, we have been providing dance instruction to many young people of Oakdale and surrounding communities. Our goal is to create a positive learning atmosphere, focusing on technical training, performance quality, and personal growth. We aim to foster a love for dance, while promoting confidence, self-esteem, commitment, self-discipline, respect, and responsibility.

Our Services

We offer a variety of dance classes, including Ballet, Tap, and Jazz. Our Ballet classes are designed for students aged 3 and up, providing a technical foundation for many genres of dance. Tap classes are also available for students aged 3 and up, emphasizing rhythm and musicality. Jazz classes are geared towards students aged 8 and up, focusing on strength, flexibility, and performance techniques.

Our Instructors

Our talented instructors have undergone extensive training in their respective fields. Leslie Ozbirn, our owner and director, began her dance training at a young age and continued her studies at Brigham Young University and University of Utah. Petra Inglis, a native of Oakdale, graduated from Cal State University Long Beach with a BA in Dance. Chelsea Day, who has been with us since childhood, furthered her training at Modesto Junior College and California State University Stanislaus. Makayla Hauser, a professional dancer, earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance from San Jose State University.
