St Gregory The Great Parish & Religious Education

Saint Gregory the Great Early Childhood Enrichment Program is a top-quality early childhood program with a respected reputation in Harrison, NY. Our school opened its doors in September 2004, started by St. Gregory the Great Church to reach out to the community. The program began with one multi-age classroom composed of three and four year old children, led by a head teacher, two assistants, and a director. Our school is a non-profit institution, licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services. We believe in providing a developmentally appropriate environment for children and assisting parents in their parenting skills within a safe, loving, and nurturing Christian environment that fosters a love of learning.

Our philosophy is centered around the idea that children ages 3 to 4 are learning all the time and will discover knowledge through active involvement and interaction. We strive to create an atmosphere where children feel comfortable in taking chances and risks, which is always a springboard for learning. Our ultimate goal is to see each child in our program reach his or her full potential. To achieve this, we believe that students need not only support from their teachers but also from their parents or guardians. This means showing an interest in what they do in school, taking a few minutes to go over their work, or listening to them speak about their daily activities at school. These actions demonstrate to your child how highly you value education and show them that teachers and parents are partners in their education.
