Welcome to the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie, a dynamic two-theater complex dedicated to providing cultural, literary, and educational programs to benefit its citizens and neighboring North Shore communities. Our facility features an 867-seat main stage theater and a convertible 318-seat theater, making us an ideal venue for performances, social events, corporate gatherings, and community activities.

We proudly present a diverse Feature Series of entertainment, including music, dance, comedy, and theatre, as well as an educational performing arts program, Youtheatre. Our Services

At the North Shore Center, we offer a range of services designed to enhance your experience. Our Box Office is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11am to 5pm and two hours prior to show time on Sundays. You can also purchase tickets online through our website, which uses Ticketmaster, our certified ticketing platform. For your convenience, we have a variety of seating options and can accommodate groups for events. Additionally, our venue is fully accessible, ensuring that everyone can enjoy our performances and events comfortably.

Resident Companies

We are proud to partner with several resident companies, each bringing their unique style and expertise to our stage. Northlight Theatre produces five mainstage productions annually, featuring a spectrum of work from world premieres to refreshed classics. Music of the Baroque, under the direction of Dame Jane Glover, offers a rich cultural experience with its operas and classical music performances. Music Theater Works adds to our repertoire with its colorful shows, including operetta, Broadway classics, and modern musicals.
