Florida Rural Legal Services (FRLS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free legal representation to low-income individuals and families throughout rural Florida. Since 1966, FRLS has been a steadfast advocate for justice, empowering vulnerable communities by ensuring access to legal counsel and resources.

Our mission at FRLS is to champion the rights of underserved individuals and families in Florida's rural communities. We strive to level the playing field by providing high-quality legal services, promoting legal literacy, and advocating for systemic change that addresses the unique challenges faced by those struggling with poverty and lack of access to justice.

Comprehensive Legal Services

FRLS offers a wide range of legal services tailored to the needs of our clients, encompassing diverse areas of law. Our compassionate and dedicated attorneys provide expert guidance and support in:

• Family Law: Assisting clients with issues such as divorce, child custody, child support, paternity, and domestic violence. We help families navigate complex legal procedures, protect their rights, and achieve equitable outcomes.

• Public Benefits: Navigating the often-complicated world of public assistance programs can be daunting. Our attorneys guide clients through applications for Social Security benefits, food stamps (SNAP), unemployment insurance, and disability benefits, ensuring they receive the support they are entitled to.
• Housing Law: We provide legal advocacy for tenants and homeowners facing eviction, landlord/tenant disputes, foreclosure, and other housing-related challenges. Our attorneys work tirelessly to protect clients' right to safe and secure housing.
