Art Hill Excavating has been specializing in diversified excavation for residential and commercial properties in Western New York since 1977. Family owned and operated by Medina natives Jennifer and Arthur Hill, our reputation has been built on honesty and a commitment to provide our customers with the best services to get the job done.

Company History

Art Hill Excavating was established in 1977. Art Hill's first job was a two home demolition and commercial site work project for a local business' secondary location. Shortly after that project completion, the company was awarded another demolition and site work project locally. At that time, Art Hill Excavating had three full-time employees. As an excavation contractor, our focus has always been septic system installations, commercial/residential site work, earthwork, ponds, water/sewer installations, and trucking services. In 1985, Art Hill Excavating added blacktop paving to its list of services allowing our company to be able to complete all facets of a site work project from start to finish. In 2009, Jennifer Hill started her career with her father Art Hill and shortly thereafter became president of Art Hill Excavating. Our company has grown over the past 47 years; gaining more employees, adding equipment/trucks, increasing our portfolio of services and is now a NY State Certified Women-Owned Business Enterprise.

Meet The Team

Jennifer Hill-Young - President

Jennifer Hill-Young moved back to her hometown of Medina in 2009 to begin her career with Art Hill Excavating. Jennifer brought with her extensive experience in; project management, business administration, estimating and in-field management from her work in Charlotte NC. With Jennifer as president of the corporation, Art Hill Excavating is a certified with New York as a WBE business (women-owned business enterprise) and works with many commercial contractors and state-run projects. Being from a family with a long and rooted history in the community, Jennifer still holds the residential side of the business to high standards as it has been the core of the company for 40 years.
