At A-1 Safety Driving School, we have been providing top-notch driving instruction since 1947. We are a family-owned and operated business that takes pride in serving the communities of BOONE, KENTON, and CAMPBELL Counties. With a team of 6 experienced driving instructors and a growing fleet of 5 vehicles, we are dedicated to helping our students become safe and successful drivers.

Our Comprehensive Driving Program

Our driving program goes beyond the basics and delves into all aspects of learning to drive. We emphasize the traffic laws and codes of Northern Kentucky to ensure that our students are well-equipped with the knowledge and experience needed to become responsible drivers. Our program includes:

• Evaluation sessions for beginners with minimal driving experience

We offer flexible scheduling options, including weekend availability for driving sessions, and we always return phone calls and messages in a timely manner.

Registration and Booking Tips

We recommend that you register for driving school as soon as you or your student receives their permit, as our schedule fills up quickly. We have a small fee for refunds requested after purchasing due to undesired availability. Please note that you will be required to make a payment when you register, and you can choose individual sessions or the 6-hour program package that includes the Basic, Prep, and Test Day sessions.

If you have already scheduled dates and times, you will receive email notifications once the business manager has confirmed your reservation. We Do NOT Guarantee Passing the Road Test, as nerves and external factors cannot be controlled.

It is important to note that the 4-hour Graduated Licensing Class is completely separate from our Program, and the Class is a requirement by the State of KY. Driving School is optional, while the Class is mandatory.

Car Insurance Providers

Please check with your car insurance provider before purchasing the 6-hour program package, as not all providers accept it.

Scheduling and Eligibility

Our scheduling is affected by multiple factors, including the County on the Permit, the Student's Eligibility date, State required logged hours completion, the current driving experience of the student driver, and our availability at the time of registration.

We require that students who sign up for our 6-hour program package have at least 15 hours of driving time before starting the program. For students with minimal driving experience, we offer evaluation sessions at an additional charge. We pick up and drop off students within a 25-minute radius from our Erlanger office, and any distance longer will require a meeting ground.
