Our Story
Founded by Peter Dahl and his family, Happy Hooker Charters is a family-owned and operated business with a rich history of fishing on Lake Superior. Our captains have spent their entire lives fishing on the lake, developing unique techniques and methods to catch the most species of fish. From steelhead on the North Shore to lake trout on the south shore, our captains have fished it all.

Our team of captains is comprised of experienced fishermen with generations of fishing knowledge. From Captain Peter Dahl, the founder of the company, to Captain Jake Stover, Captain Riley Leslie, Captain Jamie Cotner, Captain Matt Massie, and Captain Bill Hecomovich, each captain brings their own unique perspective and expertise to the table.
