Founded in 1968 by Gene Swanson, a seasoned construction professional with 17 years of experience, the company was born from a simple yet powerful vision: to build exceptional homes and structures that stand the test of time. Gene and his wife Marie worked together, building the business with careful attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to doing things right the first time. As the company blossomed, Gene's son, Keith, joined the team, working alongside his father during college summers. Keith's genuine interest in construction, coupled with his father's unwavering dedication to quality, led him to stay with Skagit Builders after graduation. In 1994, when Gene decided to retire, Keith seamlessly assumed ownership, carrying on the legacy of excellence that had been meticulously cultivated over the years.

Today, under Keith's leadership, Skagit Builders continues to uphold the founding principles of quality, integrity, and client satisfaction. Keith personally oversees each project, ensuring that every detail meets the highest standards.
