Our Vision and Mission

MassageNet is a practice-based research network (PBRN) supporting therapeutic massage clinicians, students, educators, and researchers in their collaborative efforts to advance massage practice and knowledge. We believe that massage therapy plays a vital role in healthcare, and we are committed to providing a platform for sharing research findings and fostering collaborative learning.

Additionally, we are committed to bridging the gap in healthcare knowledge by specifically addressing research gaps related to complementary and alternative medicine, including massage therapy.

Our Origin and History

MassageNet was established in 2009 and was originally supported by the Massage Therapy Foundation and the National University of Health Sciences. After a period of inactivity, the network was revitalized in 2022 through renewed interest from the Massage Therapy Foundation.
