Faith Equestrian Therapeutic Center

Faith Equestrian Therapeutic Center is a non-profit 501(c)3 PATH International Premier Accredited therapeutic/adaptive equestrian center dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with special needs and disabilities through the fascinating and powerful connection with horses. Situated just outside of Savannah, Georgia, our center offers a nurturing and inclusive environment where individuals can experience the transformative effects of equine therapy. We believe in the inherent potential of each person we serve, and we are committed to helping them reach their full potential through the unique bond they form with our majestic horses.

Our Programs

Our comprehensive program offerings cater to a diverse range of needs and abilities. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the joy and therapeutic benefits of horses. Our core programs include:

• Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL): In collaboration with local schools, we implement our HorsePowered Reading Program, utilizing the calming presence and focused energy of horses to enhance literacy skills, particularly in children who struggle with traditional learning environments.
• Adaptive/Therapeutic Riding: This program provides specialized riding instruction for individuals with a wide spectrum of disabilities. Our certified instructors tailor the lessons to each rider's unique needs and abilities, fostering balance, coordination, and an increased sense of self-confidence.
• Equine-Assisted Activities & Therapies (EAAT): We extend the benefits of equine interaction to military veterans through specialized EAAT programs. These sessions provide a therapeutic outlet for stress relief, emotional healing, and social connection, empowering veterans to navigate the challenges of transitioning back to civilian life.
• Able-Bodied Riding Lessons: Our center welcomes individuals of all ages and abilities who wish to learn the art of horsemanship. We offer a range of riding lessons designed to promote a love and respect for horses while building essential riding skills in a safe and supportive environment.
• Summer Camps: Our exciting summer camp programs offer a unique and immersive experience for both special needs and able-bodied participants. Campers enjoy a blend of horseback riding, hands-on animal care, and other fun activities designed to foster personal growth, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for the equine world.
