At Oak Ridge, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality pet boarding and daycare services to our beloved furry friends. Our facility is located in the beautiful country setting of Minnetrista, Minnesota, and has been operated by the caring, trained, and professional Swanson family for over 50 years.

Our unique approach sets us apart from other kennels as we prioritize individual attention for each pet. Unlike group playtime, we believe that every pet deserves special care and attention. Whether it's a simple walk or a fun play session, we ensure that each pet feels loved and cared for. Our dedicated staff is trained to cater to the specific needs of each pet, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Our Facility

Oak Ridge was originally a 1908 dairy barn that was converted into a boarding facility in 1967. Over the years, we've expanded our facility to better serve our growing community of pet lovers. Today, we have 50 individual rooms located in three separate areas of the facility. Each room is approximately 3 feet wide and 9 feet long, with block walls on each side and a stainless steel door. This design allows dogs to see across but not next to each other, eliminating fence fighting between dogs.

We also offer larger rooms for bigger dogs and smaller areas for tiny dogs who may feel overwhelmed by the standard space. Our rooms are designed to accommodate pets of all sizes and breeds, ensuring they feel comfortable and at ease during their stay.

Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM and 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM, Saturday from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM and 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM, and Sunday from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. We are closed for the drop-off and pick-up of your pet on the following holidays: Easter Sunday, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. On these holidays, kennel staff care for boarded pets only.
