Session Works Studio

Sessionworks Studios is a full-service audio production facility located in the heart of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex at 441W. Pipeline Rd. in Hurst, Texas. Established in 2007, we have been pushing the boundaries of sonic quality ever since. Our 4,500 square foot studio is equipped with 12 ft ceilings, 3 control rooms, a large tracking room, and several isolation booths, enabling us to handle any style or genre of music. With our wealth of knowledge, expertise, and sincere interest in helping you achieve the sound you're looking for, we make sure to maintain a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for you to maximize your creativity.

Studio Services: Recording

At Sessionworks Studios, we offer high-resolution digital recording with unlimited tracks using crystal-clean analog-to-digital converters from MOTU. Additionally, we provide 24 tracks of warm, old-school analog recording (tape fees may apply, kindly call for information.) Our selection of workhorse condenser and dynamic microphones includes models from renowned brands like AKG, Audix, Audio Technica, CAD, MXL, Oktava, Sennheiser, and Shure. Our control room features preamps from Purple Audio, Avedis, Old School Audio, hand-built Eiesens, Midas, API, Aphex, ART, and more. We house numerous equipment to cater to a wide variety of needs, including a fine selection of guitars, guitar amps, drum kits, pianos, organs, synthesizers, percussion instruments, and a lot more. Our expert staff can handle any type of recording, from solo instrument and vocal production to full bands and small ensembles, giving you the best sound quality possible.

Prepping Your Files to Bring to the Studio: Mixing

At Sessionworks Studios, we offer top-notch mixing services using the world's best software platforms and plugins for EQ, compression, and all other types of processing. Our engineers have extensive expertise in mixing and can provide you with the precise sound you are seeking, including optimum frequency balances, clarity, stereo spread, depth, and volume. We offer analog mixing to 1/4" 2-track tape. Whatever your needs are, we can work with you to create a mix that meets your expectations.

Prepping Your Files to Bring to the Studio: Transfers

Bring us your old recordings! We have the ability to transfer and restore multiple audio formats including Vinyl Records, Cassette Tape, 8-Track Cartridge, Reel to Reel (see list of formats below), ADAT/DAT. We can transfer and restore 1/4" 2 Track (Half Track) 7 1/2, 15, and 30 IPS; 1/4" 1/4 Track 1 7/8, 3 3/4, 7 1/2, and 15 IPS; 1/4" 4 Track 7 1/2 and 15 IPS; 1/2" 4 Track 7 1/2 and 15 IPS; 1/2" 8 Track 15 IPS; 1/2" 16 Track 7 1/2 and 15 IPS; 1" 8 Track 15 IPS; 1" 16 Track 15 IPS; 2" 16 Track 15 and 30 IPS; 2" 24 Track 15 and 30 IPS; 1/2" Digital Sony PCM3324. We take special care in transferring and restoring older formats to insure proper restoration. Our calibrated post-production environment and dedicated mastering services are exactly what you need for an outstanding final phase of the album production process, where audio is trimmed, faded, sequenced, and optimized to be the best possible sound quality.
