We are Darren and Shamakia Williams, the husband and wife duo behind DSW Photography. Our journey into photography started with love, as all incredible journeys should. We married in April of 2010, and together with our four beautiful daughters, we form an incredibly tight-knit family. For over a decade, each of our careers were in completely different industries but a love for photography had always been there, slow-burning towards the surface. Darren was already a hobbyist, and Shamakia was attending college for photography, but it was a family vacation in Florida that ignited the flame. Documenting that trip - the girls, the love, the moments - truly set us on a different path. Now, we consider ourselves exceptionally fortunate to be able to document the love stories of others as an international husband and wife team.

Our Story

We genuinely love what we do and the incredible couples, vendors, and publications that we are fortunate enough to serve alongside. We have been married since April 2010 and have four beautiful children together. We consider ourselves a close-knit family; our daughters Ayana, Amya, Aaliyah, and Lauryn are full of personalities. Our home shares daily laughs, jokes, lessons, and most of all love. Our lives are truly a blessing with our children a part of it.
