Sitting through it? I'll re-do it!

Since 1975, A Cane, Wood, and Wicker Fixer has been dedicated to providing the best caning, rush, rattan wrapping, splint, danish cord, and rawhide furniture repair service. Our expertise spans a wide variety of furniture and antiques, including cane, caned seats and backs, re-cane chairs, rush, danish cord, rawhide, splint, wicker, rattan, and even canoe seats. With over 45 years of experience, we have developed a deep understanding of the materials and techniques required to restore your furniture to its former glory.

Growing up, I worked in my family's wicker and furniture store in Southern California, where we sold raw supplies for people to fix their own furniture. This experience laid the foundation for my passion for furniture repair. After buying a set of antique oak press cane dining room chairs that needed re-caning, I discovered my true calling. The process of re-caning and working with my hands was incredibly fulfilling, and I soon found myself fixing furniture full-time.

In 1990, I relocated to Tigard, Oregon, where I opened my first repair shop. The move allowed me to find a better balance between work and personal life. Over the years, I've continued to refine my skills and expand my services to include various types of wood repairs and re-gluing. Today, I'm proud to say that my business remains family-owned and operated, with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction that remains unmatched.
