About Our Property

Our property is steeped in history, dating back to 1948 when it was originally an Aspen Lodge, a "Dude Ranch". Today, we have revamped the property to create a unique Asian-influenced wellness retreat center, Dao House. The original barn, paddocks, and trails still remain, adding to the charm and character of our lodge. Wildlife roams freely on our property, including elk, deer, moose, bobcat, wolf, and bear, making it a nature lover's paradise.

Things to Know

Before booking your stay with us, there are a few things to keep in mind. We do not allow pets or animals of any kind due to the wildlife on our property. We recommend arriving in an AWD or 4WD vehicle during inclement weather. Our driveway and parking areas are gravel and dirt, and we ask that you park conscientiously to avoid blocking driveways and thoroughfares. Finally, we are closed during the winter season for renovations and reopen in April of each year.
