JDI Contractor & Supply, Inc. is a faith-based, family-owned and operated drywall and metal framing contractor. We are dedicated to providing our clients with the highest quality work in the industry based on honesty and integrity while ensuring them the best possible price. JDI was formed in 1993, in Round Rock, Texas, and was incorporated in the State of Texas on February 16, 1993. Al Mowdy has served as President from the inception of the corporation.

In March of 1993, JDI leased warehouse space and a railhead location in Round Rock, Texas, and began railing in wallboard and other drywall products. In addition to supplying the materials, JDI also began turnkey projects for many area single-family builders. In 1995, JDI began its multi-family division and, from that time to the present, has continued to focus on the multi-family market.

In 1998, JDI purchased property in the beautiful Texas Hill Country just a short drive from Austin, Texas, the State Capital, and built an office at that location. In 2004, the company added metal framing to its services, providing clients with metal framing from the simplest to the most complex projects.

Today, JDI has established itself as a leader in the drywall and metal framing industry, with over 22 years of experience in commercial, multi-family, custom residential, and governmental projects. We work closely with the general contractor's project manager and superintendent, as well as superintendents from other trades, to help expedite the job. JDI uses only the finest in drywall and metal products and purchases large volumes of materials to ensure our clients the best price possible.

Our team is made up of highly skilled professionals, including Al Mowdy, President; Jean Mowdy, Controller; Josh Mowdy, VP, Construction & Development; Adam Wood, Senior Project Manager; Garrett Elliott, Lead Estimator; Wanda Shelton, Operations Manager; Laura Mowdy, Senior Project Administrator; and Jennifer Smith, Project Administrator. Our Services

JDI offers a variety of services to meet the needs of our clients, including preconstruction planning, LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) contracting, and workforce solutions.

Our preconstruction planning services include estimating, hanging, finishing, metal framing, and administrative services. We work closely with the general contractor's project manager and superintendent, as well as superintendents from other trades, to help expedite the job.

JDI has extensive experience in LEED contracting and can provide turn-key bids and services for all of your large and small construction projects. We have worked on several LEED projects, including The Groves at Stapleton River Clay Condos, Speer Apartments, Hatler-May Apartments, and Zephyr Line.
