He is a CPA and has extensive experience in public accounting, growing a business from concept to sale, and real estate transactions. Brian joined Want & Emery CPAs in 2020, eager to bring his diverse expertise to benefit his clients.
- *Deanne Platter, CPA*: Deanne grew up on a family farm near Grand Island, Nebraska, and received her degree in Accounting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She has over 30 years of experience in accounting, auditing, and tax planning, serving various industries, including banking, insurance, and small businesses. Deanne has been with Want & Emery CPAs since 2006.
- *Sara DeMaster Smith*: Sara grew up in Eureka, California, and received a degree in Accounting from Western Governors University. She has experience in tax preparation, individual and small business accounting, and non-profit accounting. Sara joined Want & Emery CPAs in 2022, excited to work in a small community that allows clients to focus on their areas of expertise.
- *Terry Emery, MT, CPA (semi-retired)*: Terry has over 20 years of experience in the tax profession, with a Master of Taxation degree from Portland State University. She has been an integral part of the Newberg community and an active leader in local organizations. Terry remains with Want & Emery CPAs in a semi-retired capacity.
